sounds of an artificial ecology - a broadcast from the Bloedel Conservatory, a tropical plant and bird sanctuary in Vancouver, unceded Coast Salish territories
live stream from the Bloedel Conservatory (a plant and bird sanctuary inside a large dome sitting at the highest point in Vancouver, unceded Coast Salish territories). The many tropical bird species inside the dome wake up not in phase with the natural dawn outside the dome, but according to the schedules of the staff who enter in the morning to feed them. The audio broadcast will focus on the soundscape of these morning rituals between the staff and the birds inside this artificial ecology.
