Geobukgol Neighborhood Park, Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul
Streaming from a small neighborhood park in north-west seoul.
This little hilly green area in north-west seoul is surrounded by schools, social welfare facilities, and residential apartments. It used to be a part of Geobuksan, and when the road was built crossing the mountain for housing development around 30 years ago, it was cut off as it is now. The area is a private property but becoming a 'place' by residents act of 'commoning': daily engagement like walking, resting, bringing indoor chairs outside and deploying feeding bowls for stray cats. It is in state of ‘becoming-park’ rather than a ‘planned park’ even though it was first announced as Seoul Park Development Plan in 2015. The area preserves its wildness around fallen trees and bushes like Rosa multiflora. Trees like Korean mountainash and wild mushrooms are abundant. White-backed woodpeckers are often heard.

Internal mic of the phone has different volume response from the near to the distant, which emphasizes streamer agency's subjective point of listening and moving. We start from home, unlocking door, walking toward the park. We expect early morning ambience of streets, walking and pausing, birds call and whistling of leaf, and encounter with strolling beings.
서울 서북부에 위치한 거북골근린공원이라 이름 붙여진 이곳은 인근 중학교, 사회 복지 시설, 주거 아파트 등에 둘러싸인 낮은 야산입니다. 거북산(현 봉산)의 일부였으나 주택개발로 산을 가로질러 도로가 나면서 산에서 잘려나가 현재의 모습이 되었습니다. 이 녹지는 사유지이지만 주민들이 매일 산책하고 쉬는 등의 일상을 공유함으로써 어떤 '장소'가 된 것으로 보입니다. 주민들은 실내 의자를 가져다두거나 길 고양이를 위한 사료 그릇을 배치하는 등 이 곳에 저마다의 방식으로 개입합니다. 2015년 서울시 공원조성계획이 최초로 고시되어 공원으로서 공식적인 조성이 발표되었지만 처음부터 ‘설계된 공원’이 아니라 ‘공원이 되어가는’ 상태라고 할 수 있습니다. 곳곳에 쓰러진 나무들과 찔레 등의 우거진 덤불이 녹지의 야생성을 보존하고 있습니다. 팥배나무나 야생 버섯이 풍부하고 키 큰 고목나무 근처에서 오색딱따구리 소리를 자주 들을 수 있습니다.

웨더리포트(김지연, 이강일)은 스트리밍 라디오 Reveil에 거북골근린공원으로 걸어가는 여정과 공원에서의 산책을 스트리밍하는 라이브 사운드워크(live soundwalk) 형태로 참여 합니다. 스트리밍 어플리케이션을 설치한 핸드폰을 사용하는데, 가까운 곳과 먼 곳의 볼륨 응답간 차이가 큰 내장 마이크로 인해 핸드폰을 들고 이동하는 행위자에 밀착된 느낌을 강조합니다. 이른 아침 5시, 문을 열고 거리를 지나 공원을 향해 갑니다. 이른 아침 거리의 분위기, 걷고 멈춤, 새들의 울음소리와 나뭇잎의 휘파람, 산책하는 존재들과의 뜻밖의 만남을 기대합니다. 오전 5시부터 5시 35분까지 진행됩니다.
