For the dawn streaming on 5th May the microphone will be placed on a rooftop in the Neapoli neighborhood of Athens. This is the center of the dense city, next to a forested hillside.  We can hear early morning wanderers, birds, dogs, motorbikes, cars, and perhaps bells.

For the live performance on 4th May we watch the sunset from a rooftop in the Petralona neighborhood, tune into Reveil and improvise with a moment of the eternal dawn.

Athens Soundcamp - And the sun keeps coming up - Ελα Projects on May 4th, 2019 at 8:00pm. 

Our performance will invite the audience to share their first thoughts when they wake and last thoughts before they go to sleep. This will be read out by the performers and fed into a long delay. These delayed whispers will then be combined into a overlapping loop, contributing to the soundscape of live dawn. Cello, flute, and electronic instrumentalists will join the performance, echoing the thoughts and the sounds of the dawn.
