Together we will walk slowly, listen deeply, and attune our attention to the Pilsen neighborhood in Chicago, where Watershed Art & Ecology is located. We will broadcast the sounds of our walk to the world via solar-powered audio livestream.

Afterwards, we’ll have breakfast while listening to live streams from a network of other livestreams from all around the earth.
The mission of Watershed Art & Ecology is to create openings for discussions of the current human predicaments: societal, environmental, economic, and racial. Defining both art and ecology beyond standard expectations, we present programs and exhibits that address our relations with each other and with the natural environment. Through biocultural experiences of place – “watersheds” – we seek emergent ecological knowledge.

This event takes place on the traditional homelands of the Anishinaabe, or the Council of the Three Fires: the Ojibwe, Odawa, and Potawatomi Nations. Many other Nations consider this area their traditional homeland, including the Myaamia, Ho-Chunk, Menominee, Sac and Fox, and Peoria.
