The Open University's Walton Hall Campus is located in Milton Keynes, a 'new city' 50 miles north of London, UK. The site of recording is on the edge of the western boundary of the campus, running along the Ouzel. OU academics, Emma Dewberry (design ecologies), and Phil Wheeler (ecology and conservation), lead this livestream as part of OU Sustainability projects.

At this site the planting is a mixture of established trees and newly planted saplings as part of the Open University's Weston OpenLiving Lab project. The sounds you might hear include a range of common woodland birds: robin, wren, tits, thrushes and warblers and occasional water birds including little egret, grey heron and kingfisher. You may also hear the river Ouzel, the wind through the trees and some background road noise.
