As you meander along the embankment of the Lagan, walking towards The Lyric Theatre, you will eventually come across Queen's Bridge. You might walk across that bridge, hoping to take in the gentle flows of the river beneath or to catch a glimpse of a valiant rower, making the water his walkway. Across from the Queen's you will find Sunnyside. A street whose name is but a gentle wish. You might walk along that road, taking in the placid slant towards Ormeau. You might even come across Sunnyside Drive. Two rows of terraced houses facing each other; a street as homely and as neighbourly as any, but distant as most. The midday sun does justice to the name, for those all too brief hours of echoic elegance.
