A small back garden on a tree-dense estate in the Brighton suburbs. Dominated by a mature Sycamore, the space is traversed by many common birds: tit, finch, pigeon, crow, magpie, gull, and mammals: squirrels, cats, foxes, humans. Low-volume traffic passes along an access road on the north side, In the middle distance, the reverberation of ever-present traffic from rail and road mainlines is partially attenuated by tree foliage.

Live stream on the Locus Sonus open microphone network, 2024. Installed by Julian Weaver (Finetuned), it uses a Raspberry Pi Zero  with Pi Codec Zero, running v4.1-dev of the streambox software developed by Stef Cousot et al. It includes the live audio streaming software Darkice, an open source project by Ákos Maróy and Rafael Diniz

Microphones are Primo EM172s with Rycote mini-windjammers, mounted onto a defunct security light.
