A simple stereo microphone setup mounted on the front of a garden office.
Barnham Broom is a small village just outside the city of Norwich in the UK. It is home to a thriving bird population that is typical in its make up of rural Norfolk. The area around is predominantly commercialised farmland, to the extent that it is not possible to walk between villages without travelling on roads without footpaths or pavements.
For this stream, a simple stereo microphone is mounted on the office of the HomeSounds project. This project invites everyone, particularly young people, to become active environmental listeners for the benefit of their creativity, education, health and well-being.
