The mics are placed on a tree close to a shallow, overgrown pond. This in turn is located among some fields and meadows, close to a village. Apart from usual small birds that can be heard around, this pond is sometimes visited by cranes and ducks. A tawny own, barking roe deer and freight trains can be heard sometimes in the distance.
