Soundscape from a Weathered Piano located in a forest in a Northern Ontario unorganized rural township. The stream is taking place during the Soundscape Intensive Weekend produced by New Adventures in Sound Art (NAISA).
This soundscape is located inside and around a Weathered Piano in the forest at Warbler's Roost in Lount. Lount is an unorganized rural township located 22 KM west of the village of South River and 40 KM west of the northwest border of Algonquin Park.

The Weathered Piano is in a mixed forest area about 1000 feet from the shoreline of Deer Lake. Dawn soundscape may include drumming of the Roughed Grouse and Pileated Woodpeckers along with calls and songs from Blue Jays, Robins, Ravens and Chickadees and the possibility of chorusing from Spring Peeper frogs.  The property is a former summer youth camp adapted to rural residential acreages.

Audio feed is a mix of two microphone pairs - two small condenser mics inside the upright piano and another two suspended under a shed roof.

Stream is taking place during the Soundscape Intensive Weekend produced by New Adventures in Sound Art (NAISA).

The Weathered Pianos project encourages collaboration and exchanges around the world between artists who explore weathered pianos.
