The Open University's Walton Hall Campus is located in Milton Keynes, a 'new city' 50 miles north of London, UK. The site of recording is on the edge of the western boundary of the campus, running along the Ouzel River. The planting is a mixture of established trees and newly planted saplings as part of the University's Weston Living Lab project. OU academic involvement in this project includes Emma Dewberry (design ecologies), Phil Wheeler (ecology and conservation), Ben Hawkridge (educational technology). The sound artist Caroline Devine has acted as consultant and advisor to this OU Reviel project and the inaugral streaming of the Weston Living Lab.
