Voces del Bosque will broadcast live from Munay Suyu Reserve, an ecological and spiritual sanctuary in the Ecuadorian Amazon, dedicated to native forest conservation and deep connection with Nature. The transmission will feature the "Symphonic Forest", a natural symphony of the Amazon rainforest.

We will broadcast the dawn chorus  from one of the edges of the reserve, where there is satellite internet access. This is the only point in the area with connectivity, as there is no mobile or traditional internet signal. The broadcast site is located at the edge of a secondary forest, adjacent to a secondary road and near Kichwa neighbors who maintain pastures and small agricultural plots.

Located in the edge of the Ecuadorian Amazon, in the parish of Cotundo (Napo Province), Munay Suyu Reserve borders the Antisana National Park and encompasses approximately 1,000 hectares of tropical rainforest. This unique environment offers a sanctuary for wildlife, natural regeneration, and deep spiritual connection with nature.

From an ancestral worldview, observing and listening to birds has long been a meaningful path to knowledge and expanded consciousness. Inspired by this tradition, the Reserve regards birds as members of its living community and protects the forest as their sacred, original habitat.

For over ten years, Munay Suyu has carried out reforestation and birdwatching projects, planting around 50,000 native trees, shrubs, and flowering plants. These efforts have restored the local ecosystem and attracted nearly 400 bird species, including rare and endangered ones such as the coquette hummingbird and the Peruvian Racket-tail.

The Reserve offers guided birdwatching experiences with a unique approach: no artificial calls or bait are used. Birds are observed in freedom, in their natural habitat, through respectful presence, spiritual awareness, and deep connection practices. Visitors are invited to tune into nature, allowing the birds to appear and share their silent messages.

“The birds guide our path and help us understand, in the simplest way, the harmonious language of Mother Nature.”
