Towards the horse chestnut before the viaduct…
|
On the road in front of the Rastrick viaduct, a mature horse chestnut provides refuge for a variety of birds.
As morning moves along, gulls return from the ecotone targeting ill-tied bin liners and fighting over scraps of fast food. Usually dropped on the (pre-lockdown) stagger home in the small hours, these high calorie supplements are now mined from partially-recycled delivery containers.
