The custom spaced boundary array provides a very good rendition of the soundscape in our neighborhood. This is in a beach community about two blocks south of Lake Michigan in Gary, Indiana and is nested within the Indiana Dunes National Park. Many birds congregate here as well as various animals.

We do have some heavy industry about 3.5 miles to the west, US Steel. One can often hear the drone of their smokestack scrubber, which hums like organ flue pipes. Another frequent sound is from the freight trains to the south. For a general reference to the studio please go to:
