Streambox built with Raspberry Pi located in an area of ancient woodland at Thorney How in Grasmere, Lake District, UK.
Expect wind, rain, birds, farm animals, low flying military aircraft.
Originally launched in 2020 as a temporary mobile stream set up for Reveil 2020 using simple iPhone/App. Now upgraded with a newly built external streambox fitted with Raspberry Pi, Komplete Audio2 and 2 microphones.
It has been relaunched in 2021 during UK COVID-19 Lockdown 3 to share immersive and tranquil sounds from rural Cumbria with others.
Currently sited in a rural location just outside Grasmere village at Thorney How. Expect to hear birds, bees, sheep, ducks, hens and other distant garden/farming noises with occasional low flying military aircraft.
Thorney How is simple B&B and Bunkhouse accommodation for Lake District visitors.
