A Yorkshire Sound Women binaural head that will live stream the dawn chorus from Centre Vale Park, Todmorden, on Sunday 02 May 2021.
Part of a set of streams from Yorkshire Sound Women Network following a YSWN / Soundcamp collaboration and Reveil 8 workshop on 26th April!
The location is a large public park in Todmorden, West Yorkshire. The park is a mix of open grassy fields, scrub, ornamental gardens and woodland. A 2018 biodiversity survey found 50 different species of birds to be using the park one way or another.
The kit / setup is a homemade binaural head fitted with a stereo pair of Clippy EM272 omni-directional mics and wind protection. The mic signal is being routed via a Zoom H4n's audio interface to a mobile phone hosting LocusCast.
