Lovers Lane is one of the oldest footpaths in the Presidio. Walking it takes you through a forest of eucalyptus, cypress, and pines.  Before it reaches the army post, there is a small bridge over a vibrant marsh / meadow.  Here an old brick footbridge crosses the restored wild meadow, where birds and their songs surround you.
