In October 2018, Weather Report, in collaboration with Locus Sonus and Culture Space Yang, installed a live streamer in the outdoor setting of Georo Village, Jeju. This device has been transmitting local environmental sound in real time over the past six years.
stream-paint-poem is a visualization of the live stream, Georo Village in Jeju.
The work seeks to materialize the imagination of time and memory evoked by the act of listening in real time, and to question the layered spaces and listening subjects boundaries in which transmission, mediation, and listening are situated.
