REVEIL 2020 STREAMS

Sheringham Park

Recast Music Education:HomeSounds

Latitude: °
Longitude: °

This live-streaming microphone has been installed by Recast Music Education in partnerhip with the Mancroft Advice Project and the National Trust at Sheringham Park, a 1000 acre site close to the North Norfolk coast.
As part of this installation young people on our HomeSounds:Soundsbites project tuned in regularly to the live-stream and creatively and educationally explored the sounds it is sharing. They visited Sheringham Park to conduct soundwalks and explore the site's acoustic ecology in more depth.

Thanks go to Rob Coleman, Learning and Community Engagement Officer at Sheringham Park for all his support and help in getting the microphone up and running, and to the National Trust for allowing us to install the mic on their site.

The HomeSounds project invites you to become a sound explorer and deep listener. Through field trips, workshops, sound-walks, microphone building, programming, learning about the science of sound, the technology of recording, the world of wildlife sound and much more. Participants on HomeSounds projects have the opportunity to delve into the world of sound for creative, therapeutic and educational purposes. For more information please visit:
