A west-facing terrace on a tree-dense estate in the Brighton suburbs. The space is traversed by many common birds: tits, finches, pigeons, crows, magpies, the occasional, disoriented gull, and mammals: squirrels, cats, foxes, humans. Low-volume traffic passes along an access road on the north side, In the middle distance, the reverberation of ever-present traffic from rail and road mainlines is partially attenuated by tree foliage.
