Audio from our backyard in the Seward neighborhood of south Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Mississippi river flows a few blocks to the east through an undeveloped gorge, the centerpiece of the Mississippi River National River and Recreation Area. The gorge area is a major bird migration corridor as well as the year-round home for a diversity of wildlife including beaver, otter, coyotes and eagles. During the month of May our soundscape is a blend of migratory and resident bird calls within the urban environment.
