Each year we try to find a unique location to stream from in order to address diverse environments. This year we will visit one of the many islands in Estonia to observe the seaside habitat and listen to the coastal soundscapes. Our team will be artists John Grzinich and Taavi Suisalu along with biologist and nature sound specialist Veljo Runnel. We will also be joined by composer Hans Gunter Lock who will demonstrate the use of ambisonic recording methods. The participants will be open to 8 students from the Estonian Academy of Arts. Our emphasis is on understanding the dawn chorus phenomenon, identifying some of the natural sounds and species and becoming familiar with the possibilities of field recording and remote streaming technology.
