Our studio is a warehouse and side yard located in an industrialized former wetland on the shores of San Francisco Bay that comprises the Port of Richmond, CA and surrounding industries (auto repair, upholstery, cement fabrication, taiko, experimental dance and film). The soundscape varies between sounds of the port, railroad switching, and nearby vernal wetland pool that refills in spring.
