Liblice is a small village 35km east of Prague, and is most famous for being the namesake of the world's tallest towers for broadcasting mid-range radio signals, which were decommissioned at the end of 2021.

The garden in Liblice is in full spring bloom with birds and bees drawn to the apple blossoms of a multigenerational orchard, an old growth legacy of human and non-human symbiotic food productivity. On Saturday, 6th of May, Susanne Kass and Maria Komarova gather to celebrate Dawn Chorus together with the habitants from the area and 555 bugs, as special guests who, sadly, could not travel to London.
555 bugs consist of found objects and homemade electro-acoustic instruments that complement an existing landscape with new meanings. Ordinary objects become something else, specific sonic beings with qualities of their own. Their soundscape transports the listener to a world of menthol bluebells, one-eyed mermaids, lemon tadpoles, gingerbread tigers, plastic insects and other critters. http://www.susannekass.com/ https://mariakomarova.org/sound-works/555-bugs/ |
