Situated along the Posuwaegeh river valley between the Sangre de Cristo and Jemez mountains at 5,729 feet (1,746 meters), and between the Tewa communities of P’o-suwae-geh Owingeh (Pueblo of Pojoaque), and Po-woh-ge-oweenge (Pueblo of San Ildefonso).  

A possible soundscape of common ravens, crows, white-breasted nuthatch, spotted towhee, magpie, finches, chickens, distant farm animals, neighbors, early morning cars and trucks along the county road, planes overhead, dogs barking, wind rustling the elm and cottonwood leaves and native plants/grasses.
